The Tulare County Museum will host its seventh annual Veterans Day event on Saturday, November 21 at 11 a.m., bringing the community together to honor and celebrate the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
The annual event will feature live music from the Mt. Whitney High School Jazz Band, remarks from guest speakers and the unveiling of our field of poppies exhibit highlighting letters from local students to those who have served. Guest speakers will include veterans as well as local students reciting poetry and sharing essays written in honor of our veterans.
Community members of all ages are invited to attend this special gathering and join the museum in recognizing the sacrifices, service and contributions of veterans from Tulare County and beyond.
“This annual event is an opportunity for our community to come together, remember the service of our veterans and preserve the stories that connect our local history to the broader story of our nation,” said Amy King-Sunderson, museum curator. “This event is a special one to connect the generations through history.”
The seventh annual Veterans Day event will begin at 11 a.m. on November 21 at the Tulare County Museum. The event is free to attend and open to the public. Join us in showing your appreciation for the sacrifices made for our country by these brave heroes.
